Springtime in Donegal.

We've been drafted in to do some grandchildren minding this week while my son is on a walk in Spain and their mum is off to work.
Spring has arrived and there are primroses growing wild everywhere.

We've been to Doagh Island.

I think these must be yellow flag iris growing in this boggy ground.

We drove through Mamore Gap  and the earthy colours were lovely but the road to get here is scary.

And it wouldn't be Donegal without the spuds and turf.

I'm looking after the chickens too.

We had a gorgeous sunny day at Culdaff.

Everywhere is yellow.
